If a new appointment is scheduled within 24 hours of a previous appointment, a window will appear titled "Found Recent Consult". This may happen if a pet is hospitalized several days in a row or if a patient arrives as an urgent care but requires same-day surgery.

ALWAYS select "cancel" when this option appears.
Selecting "cancel" creates a new clinical record. This is helpful for organizing the patient's chart and it allows users to make sure charges are being added under the correct doctor (or "Case Owner")
