Getting Ready for Checkout

Now that our patient is ready for checkout, the doctor/technician team will need to do a few things before the receptionist can take over.


(Blue) Notes to Receptionists

  • In Clinic Notes cannot be seen by clients and will not be included when medical notes are transferred to other hospitals

  • This is exclusively being used to send the checkout receptionist a message

    • In this case, the checkout receptionist will need to grab meds from pharmacy


(Purple) Save In Clinic Notes

  • To save the note and close the pop-up window, select "Add"

  • "Add & continue" will save the note and start a new note with a new pop-up window


(Pink) Update the Patient Status

  • During the appointment, Rover's status was listed as "Room 2"

  • Now that' he's ready for checkout, the receptionists need to be notified. The doctor, technician, or ERA should update his status to "Room 2 - Ready to Checkout"

    • This can either be done here or via the appointment schedule

  • This is the final step before the case is handed over to the reception team!
