Medical Notes are called "Clinical Records" in EzyVet. |
---|
In Cornerstone, Medical Notes are combined into a single page. Charges and billing are handled separately. |
In EzyVet, Medical Notes are broken into individual sections. Charges and billing are added as the notes are recorded. |
"Case Owners" are assigned by appointment. This designates which vet is overseeing the appointment and automatically assigns billing and medical records to this doctor. Always verify the "Case Owner" is accurate when recording notes/billing. |
All charges should be added to the "Treatments/Procedures" section of a Clinical Record (except medications). |
If a patient is here for an appointment, prescribed medications should be manually added via this section. If a client is requesting meds outside of an appointment, the system is slightly different (see section ___ for details).
EzyVet also treats all injections as medications. Injection charges will be added via the "Treatment/Procedures" section of the Clinical Record. Once the Clinical Record is saved, EzyVet will automatically add injections to the "Medications" section.
(Blue) Adding Medications
Selecting the "+" to the left of Medications will open a pop-up window
This pop-up window allows multiple medications to be prescribed at the same time
(Orange) Patient Weight
The patient's weight is clearly visible at the top of the Medication Prescription window
(Pink) Adding New Lines
By default, EzyVet populates 4 lines for medication prescription
If you need to prescribe more than 4 medications, click the small, green "+" symbol to the right of "Update previous invoice line"
(Green) Prescribing Medications
Drug= Begin typing the name of your medication and EzyVet will populate a search

Qty= Add the quantity you wish to send home
Dispense= EzyVet will automatically populate this box with the "Qty" added in the previous box

Instructions may need to be modified based on the patient
(Yellow) In-house Dispense vs External Dispense vs Historical
Dispense locally= This should be selected for all medications that are currently being prescribed
This is the default setting when the medications tab is opened
When this is selected, a charge will be added to the client's invoice for the medication
Historical= This is used to track medications that are not currently being dispensed
This can be used for medications prescribed by a referral hospital
This can also be used for dose changes
When this is selected, no charge will be added to a client's invoice
External Dispense= This is used for "Outside Scripts"
When this is selected, no charge will be added to a client's invoice
Outside scripts will be explored in section ____
