
Before a patient can be checked out, a doctor or technician must review the charges and approve the invoice.
(Blue) Click the Financial Tab
From the patient's Clinical Record, click the "Financial Tab" at the top and the screen above will appear
(Pink) Pending Invoice (Patient PVL)
Pending Invoices are the equivalent to "Patient PVLs" in Cornerstone
The section circled in yellow indicates that at least one charge has been added to a visit
Double click anywhere in this box to review the patient's Unapproved Invoice
A new tab with open and the following screen will appear:

The doctor/tech team should ensure these charges are accurate then select "Approve" (circled in Pink)
A new window will open:

The doctor/tech team can disregard this window
Simply click "Acknowledge" circled in blue then "Cancel" circled in purple
Doing so will close the pop-up window

Now the doctor/tech team can close this tab by click the "x" circled in purple
You will return to this screen:

Now that the Pending Invoice has been approved, you can see the invoice has moved down to "Financial Records" and is now highlighted in yellow (indicated that payment has not yet been received)
Finally, the doctor/tech team needs to return to the Clinical Record by selecting the "Medical" tab highlighted in purple
