
Medical notes are called "Clinical Records" in EzyVet and they are very different from Cornerstone. Clinical Records will automatically generate the day of a pet's appointment (whether they check-in or not).
To open a patient's Clinical Record, double click their appointment on the schedule.
(Blue)Â Clinical Record Tab
This "Medical" tab indicates that you are currently in a patient's clinical record
(Yellow)Â Activities During an Appointment
Send Email= Used to directly send an email to a client (either via a template or free-writing)
Send Fax= We are not using this feature
New Memo= We are not currently using this feature
New Invoice= An invoice will automatically generate as you add charges. We are not currently using this feature
New Estimate= Used to generate a treatment plan for a client (details found in section ___)
New Payment= This would only be used by receptionists to receive payment that is not assigned to an invoice. (For instance, if a client wanted to add a $200 credit to a pet's account)
Create Document= This is used to create the equivalent of a "Correspondence" in Cornerstone
Print Label= Used to generate a sticker label of any variety (Fecal label, cage label, etc)
Callback= Generates a callback similar to the Cornerstone "callbacks". There are several locations that offer this button. Selecting a callback from this clinical record screen will link the call back directly to this particular record.
Send to Smart Flow= Add the patient to Smartflow for a surgery or dental appointment
New Prescription Request= We are currently not using this feature
Not Watching/Watching= This is an optional feature. Clicking this will add the clinical record to your specific "worklist" (based on whoever is logged into EzyVet when clicked). You do not need to use this feature.
Disable= This will delete this clinical record. Most users do not have access to this option. This is the equivalent of "Voiding" a medical not in Cornerstone
(Orange)Â Patient Information/Prompts
Patient= Lists basic patient information. Hovering over this area will display additional details.
Clicking "Complete History" will show a comprehensive history for the patient (including Clinical Records, Prescriptions, Client Communications, etc)
Demeanors= This is a patient's FAS score, important FAS data, and critical medical information (such as vaccine reactions or allergies)
Selecting the pencil icon will allow you to add or remove "demeanors"
Owner= This shows the client's name, contact information, and active balance
Consult= This lists the Clinical Record details including the date of the appointment, type of appointment, and assigned doctor (called a "case owner"
Scrolling down on this section of the page will reveal additional details including previous records, vaccine history, and patient tags.

When a button is highlighted green, the section is visible. When white, the section in hidden
By default, these sections will be activated based on appointment type
These sections can be manually hidden or unhidden by clicking the relevant button
"View By Group" consolidates sections into "groups"
"Go To Combined View" will hide all but one section at a time
Selecting "Go to Standard View" will return you to the default viewing (multiple sections visible at once)
