
(Blue) Change Patient Status
The patient's status can either be changed via the Calendar
Or it can be changed via the dropdown menu found on the left side of the patient's chart

Options indicated with a heart are specifically intended for surgical procedures and COHATs
For anesthesia procedures, a patient's status will be changed throughout their visit.
An (R) indicates the status change should be done by a receptionist. An (M) indicated the status changed should be performed by medical staff:
(R) Admit for Surgery = A patient has arrived at the hospital, has been checked in by a receptionist and is awaiting a tech/DVM
(M) In Hospital = Patient has been fully admitted and is awaiting their procedure
(M) In Procedure = The patient's procedure has started (this can include premed)
(M) In Recovery = The procedure has ended and the patient is recovering. The DVM will give the client a patient pick-up window
(R) Ready for Discharge = The client has returned and has been placed in a room by a receptionist
(M) Ready for Checkout = A tech or DVM has reviewed patient discharge with the client and the client is ready to be checked out by a receptionist
(R) Departed = The patient/client have left the building. This will discharge the patient from Smartflow.
