All procedure charges and additional billing items (such as ecollars, CRIs, and diagnostics) must be added in the Treatment/Procedure section of a clinical record |
Remember to update the "Patient Status" throughout the day to keep reception informed. This will allow easier communication between the reception team and worried owners. |
Dental radiographs must be requested via EzyVet before they're captured. If a radiograph requeset does not originate from in EzyVet, it will NOT save to the patient's chart! |
For Surgeries and COHATs, a Therapeutic/Procedure Template should always be used!
Most injection charges will be added via Smartflow. The only exception to this is CRIs.
(Blue) Add Treatment/Procedures
Click the green "+" to add
(Orange) Therapeutic/Procedure Templates
ALWAYS find the relevant surgical/COHAT template by either typing into the search box or by clicking the magnifying glass.
Once a Therapeutic/Procedure template is chose, the "Template" box to the right with autofill, several "Billing Trigger Product(s)" will autofill, and a template will generate in the "Specifics" box
Click in the "Specifics" box and begin hitting "tab" on your keyboard to answer questions related to the pet's procedure
Some of these questions will add additional charges

All patient charges will shown here (except medications and charges added via Smartflow)
Any injection charges listed here MUST have their quantity updated in the white box to the right of the product description
Most injection charges will be added through Smartflow so you don't need to add those here
These include:
PreOp and PostOp Medications
Induction Agents
Antiemeticstics
NSAID Injections
CRIs cannot be added via Smartflow
The templates for major surgeries will contain a section regarding CRIs (this will add your charges)
If a template doesn't contain a CRI but one needs to be added, you can add a new "Therapeutic/Procedure" template and search for "CRI"
You can add any additional charges to this section by selecting the green arrow to the right of "Billing Trigger Product(s)"
This might include additional labwork or an ecollar

Click "Add" to save your note and process all charges
